A fitness program designed for active older adults who want to improve their overall fitness. This class is designed to increase muscular strength, cardio, flexibility, balance, coordination, range of movement and activities for daily living. It includes easy-to-follow, low impact movement, and upper-body strength exercises while listening to your favorite music. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a small ball are offered for resistance. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises which include some yoga postures and tai chi movements. Modifications will be offered so all fitness levels are welcome.
