About Dance2FitDance2Fit is a total body workout that utilizes high intensity interval training, kickboxing and other body weight exercises to tone core muscle groups within choreographed routines to popular pop and hip hop music. The group class setting and positive energy provided by the instructor creates an encouraging atmosphere for all fitness levels. The goal of a Dance2Fit class is to inspire and motivate class participants to get moving, adopt healthy habits, and build confidence in themselves through a fun dance workout.  Jillian Tuell BioJillian was born and raised in Orono and adopted a passion for athletics and dancing at a young age. She had a competitive athletic career at Orono High School in field hockey, cheerleading and softball, and moved from Maine to Rhode Island to pursue collegiate athletics after high school. Jillian graduated college in 2015 and decided it was time to come back home to the Bangor area to be with her family. Jillian currently resides in Glenburn and works fulltime as a Medicare Health Plan Specialist at ClearPoint Capital, her father's Investment Advisory Firm here in Bangor. After struggling for a few years to find a workout program that she enjoyed, Jillian came across Dance Fitness in 2017 and instantly fell in love with that style of exercising. Now Jillian is excited to share her passion for Dance Fitness with others through the Dance2Fit program! Calling All Dancers Ages 19-91 Looking for a new form of exercise?Come dance with us on Thursdays!!  Research says: Line dancing is good for your body and your mind. We need to keep the brain cells as active as the muscles! Think of it like doing a puzzle, math, memory games and sweating! It is good for you and FUN! Dance to all kinds of music: country, oldies and some contemporary music. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes – please no sandals, flip flops, sneakers, clogs or heels. Thursdays, 10:00 - 11:30 amNEW - NEW- NEW -NEWBeginner hour: Thursdays 9 – 10 Beginner hour: for people who have always wanted to line dance (or maybe you did in the past and need to brush up on basics) and for those with two left feet! Line dancing is not difficult once you know the basics.  Each dance is the same steps in a different order to different music! Bring your two left feet and have some fun!Instructor Bio:  Instructor Cheryl Hollingworth was a guidance counselor with Deaf children for 32 years before hanging up her educator hat and donning a cowboy hat and boots. Cheryl has been country line dancing for 9 years and teaching dance for 2 years. She is also a certified Yoga instructor.  Cheryl brings her energy, enthusiasm and sense of humor to her classroom and dance floor. In her spare time she gardens, hikes, kayaks and enjoys painting with water colors.

A fitness program designed for active older adults who want to improve their overall fitness. This class is designed to increase muscular strength, cardio, flexibility, balance, coordination, range of movement and activities for daily living. It includes easy-to-follow, low impact movement, and upper-body strength exercises while   listening to your favorite music. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a small ball are offered for resistance. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises which include some yoga postures and tai chi movements. A fitness program designed for active older adults who want to improve their overall fitness. This class is designed to increase muscular strength, cardio, flexibility, balance, coordination, range of movement and activities for daily living. It includes easy-to-follow, low impact movement, and upper-body strength exercises while   listening to your favorite music. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a small ball are offered for resistance. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises which include some yoga postures and tai chi movements. The goal of a Dance2Fit class is to inspire and motivate class participants to get moving, adopt healthy habits, and build confidence in themselves through a fun dance workout.  Jillian Tuell BioJillian was born and raised in Orono and adopted a passion for athletics and dancing at a young age. She had a competitive athletic career at Orono High School in field hockey, cheerleading and softball, and moved from Maine to Rhode Island to pursue collegiate athletics after high school. Jillian graduated college in 2015 and decided it was time to come back home to the Bangor area to be with her family. Jillian currently resides in Glenburn and works fulltime as a Medicare Health Plan Specialist at ClearPoint Capital, her father's Investment Advisory Firm here in Bangor. After struggling for a few years to find a workout program that she enjoyed, Jillian came across Dance Fitness in 2017 and instantly fell in love with that style of exercising. She is also a certified Yoga instructor.  Cheryl brings her energy, enthusiasm and sense of humor to her classroom and dance floor. In her spare time she gardens, hikes, kayaks and enjoys painting with water colors.

A fitness program designed for active older adults who want to improve their overall fitness. This class is designed to increase muscular strength, cardio, flexibility, balance, coordination, range of movement and activities for daily living. It includes easy-to-follow, low impact movement, and upper-body strength exercises while   listening to your favorite music. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a small ball are offered for resistance. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises which include some yoga postures and tai chi movements. Bring your two left feet and have some fun!Instructor Bio:  Instructor Cheryl Hollingworth was a guidance counselor with Deaf children for 32 years before hanging up her educator hat and donning a cowboy hat and boots. Cheryl has been country line dancing for 9 years and teaching dance for 2 years. She is also a certified Yoga instructor.  Cheryl brings her energy, enthusiasm and sense of humor to her classroom and dance floor. In her spare time she gardens, hikes, kayaks and enjoys painting with water colors.

A fitness program designed for active older adults who want to improve their overall fitness. This class is designed to increase muscular strength, cardio, flexibility, balance, coordination, range of movement and activities for daily living. It includes easy-to-follow, low impact movement, and upper-body strength exercises while   listening to your favorite music. Hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a small ball are offered for resistance. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises which include some yoga postures and tai chi movements. She had a competitive athletic career at Orono High School in field hockey, cheerleading and softball, and moved from Maine to Rhode Island to pursue collegiate athletics after high school. Jillian graduated college in 2015 and decided it was time to come back home to the Bangor area to be with her family. Jillian currently resides in Glenburn and works fulltime as a Medicare Health Plan Specialist at ClearPoint Capital, her father's Investment Advisory Firm here in Bangor. After struggling for a few years to find a workout program that she enjoyed, Jillian came across Dance Fitness in 2017 and instantly fell in love with that style of exercising.
